GoPro Hero Black 13 & new Hero released - new features added
GoPro releases an improved version of its action camera model: GoPro Hero Black 13. At the same time, the "Hero" model is also released in a compact format.
The GoPro Hero Black 13 action camera has now been released, largely building on the previous version GoPro Hero Black 12. Among other things, the sensor remains the same at 24.7 megapixels for video and 27 megapixels for still images, as well as the design execution. At the same time, a smaller version named GoPro Hero is also released.
Among the improvements in the Black 13, we find a magnetic mount and the ability to attach three new lenses, as well as an improved battery with up to 10 percent better battery life.

Hero 13 Black supports built-in noise reduction and can record HLG HDR video and 10-bit video in G-Log. New is the "burst slo-mo" mode that can record video in 720p at up to 400 frames per second and 5.3K/120p.
The camera has also been upgraded to the faster Wi-Fi 6 instead of the older Wi-Fi 5 of its predecessor, with up to 40 percent faster transfer speeds.
The camera also features capabilities for filming with anamorphic lenses, support for HyperSmooth 6.0 video stabilization, 360-Horizon Lock for straight horizons despite rotation during recording, and the ability to automatically upload footage to the cloud.

The new GoPro Hero is the smallest camera to date, weighing only 86 grams. The camera can record video in 4K/30p and 2.6K/60p, take pictures at 12 megapixels, and is charged via USB C. GoPro Hero has Hypersmooth video but reduced video capabilities with a maximum bitrate of 50 megabits/s and video in 8 bits, while lacking HDR, webcam mode, and other setting options. The lens has a focal length equivalent to a 15mm field of view in full-frame format.
