Last year, Kamera & Bild reported on the wide-angle Hasselblad XCD 28mm f/4 P, a newcomer in their P-series defined by light weight and more compact design compared to the V-series, which is more studio-oriented.

Now it's time for another lens in the same compact "portable" P-series, but this time with a longer focal length: Hasselblad XCD 3.4/75P.

The focal length corresponds to the field of view of 59mm in full frame, and is the longest focal length so far for a lens in the P-series, while also being the brightest with f/3.4. The focal length is intended to make the lens suitable for, among other things, portraits.

The lens is designed for photographers who need light weight, compact size, and at the same time high performance that meets the requirements for reproducing resolution at 100 megapixels.

The lens is composed of 10 elements in 10 groups. The image area should be sharp from the center to the edges. Autofocus is handled by a linear stepper motor and provides smooth, quiet, and fast focusing along with Hasselblad's X or V systems that support PDAF. The central shutter can handle up to 1/2000s shutter speed and flash sync for the same times. The filter diameter is 72mm

Hasselblad also releases an extension tube, Hasselblad X Extension Tube 9mm, which is designed for the X system's 907X and XCD cameras. With the extension tube, the lens's minimum focusing distance is reduced, allowing for better close-up shots.

Hasselblad XCD 3.4/75P has a recommended price of 2529 euros and is available now. Hasselblad X Extension Tube has a recommended price of 339 euros and is available now. The exact Swedish price is not yet available.
