Leica M Edition 70 - Celebrating 70 Years of the M System with a New Collector's Model

The Leica M3 from 1954 launched the M system which now celebrates 70 years with the new collector's camera M Edition 70 - limited to 250 pieces.

Leica M Edition 70 is a collector's camera celebrating the production of the M system since its inception in 1954. The Leica M3 was the start of the unique design and handling, and has since been developed further in several ways.

The edition of the collector's camera is only 250 pieces and is individually numbered. The design originates from the classic Leica M3 camera but also features elements from Leica M-A, along with a platinum outer shell.

The camera also comes with the Leica APO-Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH, a special version that is also made of platinum. Like the newly released Leica M11-D, the Leica M Edition 70 has no screen on the back, but instead a flat ISO dial for managing the camera's settings.

Additionally, a platinum film container with a roll of black and white film is included.

If you are interested in the camera, it costs $23,995, equivalent to about 260,000 SEK. The camera will be available for purchase in 2025.
