OM System updates three lenses with weather sealing & image stabilization

The telephoto lens ED 100-400mm f/5-6.3 IS II receives image stabilization while 17mm f/1.8 II and 25mm f/1.8 II become weather-sealed.

In connection with the release of the new OM System OM-3, which Kamera & Bild tested before the official announcement, an updated version of the telephoto lens OM System M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm f/5-6.3 IS II was also released.

The lens now receives improved image stabilization with compensation for up to 4.5 stops, an improvement over its predecessor which only compensated for 3 stops as it did not work together with the camera body's built-in image stabilization.

In combination with the camera body's image stabilization, the combination can now achieve up to 7 stops at the lowest focal length and 5.5 stops in the telephoto position at 400mm. The lens weighs 1125 grams without the tripod mount and 1300 grams with it. OM System also announces that autofocus works with both 1.4x and 2x teleconverters.

The recommended price is 17,490 kronor including VAT.
