SWPA 2025: Here are the national and regional winners
Sony World Photography Awards, SWPA, has now revealed which photographers have won the national and regional competitions for 2025.
The national and regional winners for the 2025 edition of the Sony World Photography Awards, SWPA, have now been revealed by the jury.
This is the 18th time the photo competition is being held, and a total of over 419,000 images have been submitted for competition where photographers from over 200 countries have participated. This represents an increase of over 25,000 images for the round, while the number of participating countries has decreased from 220 to 200.
A total of 56 countries participated in this year's national and regional competition. Here you can see all the nominees in the youth category in SWPA 2025.
No one from Sweden or Scandinavia took home any wins this year.
The global winner and the winners in the categories for student, youth, open, and professional competition will be presented on April 16, 2025, at an award ceremony in London. The images will also be exhibited at Somerset House in central London from April 17 to May 5, 2025.
