Take selfies like Barbie - in 0.3 MP with the new retro Barbie Phone

In Barbie's world, most things are pink - including her phone. With it, you can take selfies in the retro resolution of 300 kilopixels.

As a joke, yet not. With the phenomenon "Barbenheimer" coined in conjunction with the simultaneous release of the movie Oppenheimer and Barbie, the hype around the pink color became extraordinary - so why not make a retro-inspired foldup phone like the classic Nokia phones?

HMD Global licensed Nokia and has also created the Barbie phone that has now officially been launched: Barbie Flip Phone. The color turned out to be pink, and the phone is a button phone where you can avoid using social media - while always receiving a message from Ken.

The phone can be seen both as a PR stunt, as a joke, but also as a statement against today's use of social media and the constant flow of pictures and videos being uploaded on various networks - something that often leads to stress and can affect especially young people's well-being.

Interchangeable shells, a pearl strap, and the ability to make calls, send texts, and browse with the Opera Mini browser. But perhaps best of all: the ability to take selfies in 0.3 megapixels with the built-in camera.

The Barbie Flip Phone is now available for purchase at a price of 1500 kronor including VAT.
