The Apple iPhone 16 has been released, and comes as iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Max, and 16 Pro. Common to the Pro and Max versions is that they feature larger screens, better performance, and new AI features that will assist the user through "Apple Intelligence".
All four phones have the new Camera Control button, which is essentially an enhanced function button that can now do more than just act as a shutter for the camera. Among other things, you can now press lightly on it to focus and then press harder to take a picture, which mimics the function of regular cameras.

The button also supports swiping, which means you can adjust various settings by dragging your finger across the button - for example, zooming or making other adjustments to the camera setting. By pressing and holding, it is also possible to start a video recording. The new function button is an enhancement of last year's function button, which is also retained in the new iPhone 16 models.
The cameras are recognized from the previous version, with a main camera of 48 megapixels and a telephoto camera of 12 megapixels, something that previously only existed in the Pro Max model for optical zoom. The wide-angle camera now also gets a resolution of 48 megapixels and a slightly larger aperture of f/2.2 compared to the previous f/2.4.
Video can be played in 4K/120p for both standard and slow-motion modes, which means you can adjust the speed afterwards instead of changing the recording mode if you want slow-motion in the end.

The features that use Apple Intelligence do not yet have a launch date in Europe, and none of the services will be available in Sweden. Apple announced during the event that Apple's AI is only available in American English and that the French version is expected to come sometime in 2025.
The iPhone 16 Pro starts at 14,495 SEK with 128 GB of storage. The iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at 17,495 SEK with 256 GB of storage. The phones will be available from September 20.
