Asus releases 8K Mini LED monitor and new 4K monitors

Asus is now releasing its professional 8K monitor that was showcased last spring, along with several mid-range monitors for creators.

High resolution on screens is important for those working with high-resolution material where the final result will also be presented in high resolution. Asus has now released an 8K model for creators working with 8K raw material: Asus ProArt Display PA32KCX - a 32-inch screen with a resolution of 7680 x 4320 and a mini LED panel.

The screen was officially released in April this year and is now being showcased at the IBC fair (International Broadcasting Convention) in Amsterdam.

According to Asus, the Asus ProArt Display PA32KCX is supposed to cover 97 percent of the DCI-P3 color space and has a delta E average of less than 1.

The screen features built-in hardware calibration that is deployed during calibration. The panel is made up of 4096 zones, the brightness peaks at 1200 nits and up to 1000 nits continuously across the entire screen surface. The bit depth is 10 bits with support for HDR10 and HLG.

The screen supports HDMI 2.1, the new Displayport 2.1 standard, and dual Thunderbolt 4 ports with support for 96W USB-PD.

The screen supports USB-PD 96, a USB hub, and Displayport 1.4 over USB C, HDMI 2.1, and more features for settings.

ProArt Display PA27UCGE.

Below this model are the intermediate models ProArt Display PA32UCE and ProArt Display PA27UCGE, where the former screen has a size of 32 inches, 4K resolution, and an IPS panel with 98 percent of DCI-P3 and 600 nits brightness support for HGL and HDR10.

The screens have built-in calibration and a dE value below 1 after factory calibration. ProArt Display PA27UCGE supports 160 Hz.

At the same time, Asus also releases the new ProArt Display PA16USV, which is a 16-inch screen in 4K with support for 12G SDI.
